The company’s first product, called Murasu Anjal, was developed by its founder, Muthu Nedumaran, in the year 1985. It is a software tool that extends the computer system with features that provides the ability to read and write in languages that are not native to the operating platform. Won the “Most Promising iPhone Application” award by showcasing an intelligent input method framework for Jawi text composition on the iPhone. The iPhone app allowed users to type Malay language text in Latin script on a QWERTY onscreen keyboard and it intelligently transliterated each word into Jawi (Arabic script) as and when they are composed.

With Grow Momentum (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore developed and launched ‘Murasu Anjal 10’ software as a deliverable for MOE Singapore’s Tamil Language Text Input System (TLTIS) project. The software integrated a Tamil lookup-dictionary into the input method for the first time. Murasu Anjal 10 also became the first Tamil text input software that worked across Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems providing identical fonts on both platforms.
